Engagement

How an engagement unfolds

From the first call to a written succession plan — the stages families move through when they work with LogicModule Consulting.

Stage 1 — Introductory call

We listen for the real trigger: retirement, a health scare, sibling tension, or a buyer circling. If litigation is already underway, we pause. If the need is genuine succession planning, we outline scope and fee basis.

Stage 2 — Discovery

Private interviews with owners and key family participants. We gather ownership facts, role maps, and the hopes people will not say in a group. Discovery usually takes two to three weeks depending on diaries.

Stage 3 — Working sessions

Facilitated meetings — often half-days on-site — where options are compared: who leads, who owns, what is gifted, what is sold, and what the outgoing generation keeps. We keep minutes that distinguish decisions from parking-lot items.

Stage 4 — Written plan

You receive a succession plan in plain English: timeline, responsibilities, open legal tasks, and a 90-day action list. We revise once against family comments before finalising.

Stage 5 — Adviser handover

With your permission we brief your solicitor and accountant so share transfers, wills, and tax timing follow the family’s intent rather than rewriting it.

What we need from you

Prompt access to share information, willingness for quieter voices to be heard privately, and a commitment to finish the written plan even when conversations feel uncomfortable.
