Next-generation leadership readiness

A practical assessment and coaching sequence for sons, daughters, or nephews already working in the firm who may take the helm.

  • 8–12 weeks
  • Mix of on-site observation and remote sessions
  • From £3,200 per candidate

Purpose

Outgoing owners often assume “they’ve grown up in the business” equals readiness. We observe how a candidate runs a budget, handles suppliers, and leads people who remember them as children — then build a development plan the board can trust.

Included

  • Two days of on-site observation
  • Confidential feedback from non-family managers (with consent)
  • Written readiness report
  • Six coaching sessions focused on authority, not just technical skill

Honest boundary

If the assessment shows the candidate is not ready within the family’s preferred timeline, we say so. Sometimes the right outcome is a non-family managing director with the family retaining ownership.
